Hyundai will launch the Tucson SUV on the 24th of next month. Having just launched its Elantra, with the Tucson, Hyundai is getting more serious regarding its premium aspirations and after the huge success of the Creta, launching the bigger Tucson was the logical step.
The Tucson sits below the Santa Fe and this new gen model is possibly the best looking Hyundai SUV, even more stylish than the Creta. The large hexagonal grille with those sharp LED headlamps looks fantastic and is the best part of this SUV while the crossover like rear features well designed tail-lamps.
In the flesh the Tucson looks much bigger than the Creta and more in line with the Santa Fe. The interior is not as edgy as the exterior but has the typical Hyundai design details along with a long feature list like the new Elantra.
The new Tucson is a 5-seater and is quite spacious plus with the 2nd row in place the luggage capacity is 513 litres, while it is 1,503 litres with the rear seats folded. Engine options are centered around the 2.0 diesel though it remains to be seen whether 4WD is offered also along with the 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT could be available also.
