CONOR McGREGOR and Khabib Nurmagomedov might be the worst of enemies after their controversial bout at UFC 229.
Russian Khabib retained his lightweight crown after choking out the outspoken Irishman in the fourth round of their clash that was marred by a pre-fight war of words and an ugly brawl that broke out in the aftermath.
But a picture that will shock both sets of fans has re-emerged on Twitter - showing the bitter rivals looking like the best of friends.
The snap was taken in September 2014, shortly after McGregor shot to stardom at UFC 178 by beating Dustin Poirier.
Khabib proudly posted the picture on Twitter with the caption: “With CONOR McGREGOR after his unbelievable victory at UFC 178,"
McGregor duly replied, saying: “I love it champ!! The Russian Bear!!"
But fast forward four years, and the pair are anything but mates.
